I had scheduled an appointment online for my daughter to obtain her driver's license. After completing the appointment request, I received a confirmation text message asking me to confirm the appointment. When I replied to confirm, I received another message stating, "No appointments were found for your phone number" Because I was unsure whether my appointment was still valid and wanted to understand the meaning of the error message, I decided to visit the facility with my daughter before our scheduled appointment. After entering the facility, security directed me to Station 13, where I spoke with Assistant Manager Gianna. From the beginning of our interaction, her demeanor was unfriendly. As I attempted to explain why I had come to the facility, she interrupted me and said, "Let me see your phone, and then I can figure it out." I provided the information she requested. After reviewing it, she told me that I had made the wrong appointment and that I needed to go home, cancel it, and make a new appointment. Staff depends on who you get. You get a hardworking professional or you get a emotional projecting employee. Lines and functions are time efficient here. I just want to share I believe it is beyond inconvenient for those that are waiting for a permanent disability placard to take 3 to 4 months to be mailed, and we are left without usage of a valid placard since we are not given the option to have a temporary placard while the permanent one takes it sweet time to be mailed. *Thats on the Secretary of State though

They are just wonderful! Always super polite, professional, and helpful. Today, I worked with the gentleman at window number seven. He was not only extremely efficient but also incredibly helpful and positive. He treated me with a smile, and respect throughout the entire interaction. Previously, I was always assisted by the lady at window number six, who speaks Polish. She has always made my mom and dad feel so welcome, comfortable, and supported. Both of them provide outstanding customer service and truly make a difference. Please give them a raise they absolutely deserve it! 10 out of 10 experience.

I have visited many Dmv facilities and most experiences were nothing short of miserable. This was my first time visiting the Schaumburg location and it will be the only one I visit from now on. Every person we encountered from the security guard at the door, to the at least 6 different employees we interacted with after checking in, was pleasant, helpful and had a friendly demeanor. I was pleasantly surprised! We were helped in a timely manner and got everything we needed accomplished with very little stress. This is most definitely the only Dmv we will be visiting from now on.

I’ve been coming to this DMV for years, even though I live in Chicago. I always chose this location for both my driving tests and license renewals because the staff here are genuinely kind, helpful, and efficient. Everything has always been smooth and fast, and I’ve recommended this place to many people because of the great experience. However, there is one major issue — the man at the entrance who checks for tickets. He is extremely rude and disrespectful. His behavior completely ruins the otherwise positive impression of this location. It’s honestly shocking how someone like that represents a place with such a good team inside. I truly hope management addresses this, because the rest of the staff deserves recognition, not to have their reputation damaged by one person.
